The Met Dept. says the sea area extending from Colombo to Trincomalee via Kankesanthurai and the sea area extending from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota will be fairly rough at times as the winds can strengthen up to 50 kmph at times.
Showers will occur at several places in the sea area off the coast extending from Mannar to Hambantota via Puttalam and Galle. Showers or thundershowers can be expected at several places in the other sea areas during the afternoon or evening.
Winds will be South-westerly and speed will be 20-40 kmph.
