A few showers will occur in the sea area off the coast extending from Mannar to Hambantota via Puttalam and Galle. Showers or thundershowers can be expected at several places in the other sea areas during the afternoon or evening, the Met Dept. forecasts.
Winds will be South-westerly and speed will be 20-40 kmph.
The sea area extending from Puttalam to Trincomalee via Kankesanthurai and the sea area extending from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota will be fairly rough at times as the winds can strengthen up to 50 kmph at times.
