Chief Minister Peshala Jayaratne and Secretary to the Education Ministry Upali Marasinghe visited some schools in Polonnaruwa to examine their present status. The visit enabled them to look into the facilities available in schools in the Welikanda, Aralaganwila, Lankapura Education Division.

The North Central Chief Minister said that the development of 10 rural schools in the Polonnaruwa District and six rural schools in the Anuradhapura District will be expedited on the direction of the President.
