    Mihin Lanka to expand service to India

    Sri Lanka's budget airline Mihin Lanka launching a new route has expanded its service to India. Mihin Lanka will launch a new route to India between Colombo and Kolkata from 17 June 2015. The new route will be operated by an Airbus A319 or A321 aircraft three times a week.

    In addition, the budget carrier plans to increase number of flights to several destinations from mid-June 2015.

     

    Effective 15 June number of flights on Colombo - Madurai route will increase from 5 to 7 weekly while Colombo -Dhaka service will increase weekly flights from 6 to 7 effective 17 June.

     

    Number of flights on Colombo - Lahore route will increase from 3 to 5 weekly from 18 June and Colombo - Sharjah flights will increase from 4 to 5 weekly from 19th June.

     

    The airline received its Airbus A319 aircraft earlier this year, which will be placed on various route in summer 2015 season, according to Routes Online.
