Sea area off the coast extending from Kankesanthurai to Hambantota via Trincomalee and Pottuvil will experience showers or thundershowers. Showers or thundershowers will occur in the other sea area around the island during the afternoon or night.
Winds will be Northeasterly and speed will be 20-30 kmph. However, there can be temporarily localized strong winds during thundershowers, the Met Dept. added.
Sea area around the island will not be rough, but can become temporarily rough during thundershowers.
