The Minister announced that the 2015 State Wesak Festival will be held on a grand scale centering the Raja Maha Vihare in Mahiyangana. The Minister apprised the state officials of the arrangements at this discussion.

The proceedings will be carried out under the guidance of Registrar of the Senior Karaka Sangha Sabha of the Asgiriya Chapter and Chief Incumbent of the Mahiyangana Raja Maha Vihare, the Ven. Urulewatte Dhammrakkitha Thera.

Minister Karu Jayasuriya also announced at this meeting that Wesak Festivals are also being planned countrywide, parallel to this State Wesak Festival.
