The programme of granting land permits for the people of the Vavuniya District was implemented under the patronage of Lands Commissioner General Ratnasiri Rajapaksa. The event held at the Vavuniya Urban Council Cultural Hall was attended by a group including many people’s representatives.

Meanwhile, the distribution of land deeds and permits among the people of the Mahiyangana, Ridimaliyadda, Meegahakivula and Kandaketiya Divisional Secretariat Divisions took place under the auspices of Uva Chief Minister Harin Fernando. 2000 land deeds were distributed on the occasion.
