    A 3-Member Committee to decide on Police Transfers

    Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena had directed the transfers in the police force to be decided by a special three-member committee.

     

    Accordingly, a committee comprising the Presidential Secretary, Law and Order Ministry Secretary and the Inspector General of Police will oversee the new police transfers.
     
     
    President  Sirisena  ordered a stop to all new transfers in the Police Department with effect from March 22.
