Troops of the 8 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) of the SFHQ-E organized a Shramadana campaign with the participation of civilians in order to repair and reconstruct the road leading to Pallathuchchena, recently.

Meanwhile, 23 Division Headquarters on the directions of its General Officer Commanding organized a ceremony to distribute 30 bicycles among school children of Kiran Vidyalaya, Pondukalchena Vidyalaya, Eralakkulam Vidyalaya, Wadumune GTM Vidyalaya and Pulipanchikal GTM Vidyalaya, following sponsorship, provided by the ‘Child Fund’ organization last week.

Besides, the same Division organized an educational trip for 19 students at Walayaya Vidyalaya and Thihilaweddi Vidyalaya to Colombo to enjoy the hospitality in the South and the Army Photographic Exhibition that was held recently at the BMICH in connection with the ‘Army Colours Night’. (Army)
