    SLBC New Chairman assumes duties

    New Chairman of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation, Attorney At Law Nanda Muruttettuwegama assuming duties this morning said that the national radio channel will be transformed to an independent public  service.

    The Chairman called upon the SLBC employees to give their support to regain the radio channel to its former glory which had deteriorated due to various reasons in the past.  He said that the programmes broadcast over the service should be impartial and balanced.in order to  attract  listeners.

     


    Expressing views at this occasion, Chief Incumbent of the Naga Viharaya in Kotte ven. Maduluwawe Sobhitha Thero said that the public expectation is to create a true change in the country. Thus the national radio should turn to an institution which serves the people equally disregarding differences.
