The funeral of the mother of Opposition Leader and Senior Deputy President of the SLFP Nimal Siripala de Silva will take place today at Kendana Public Cemetery in Badulla.
H.L.M. Leelawathie Podimenike, who had served as a teacher in 22 government schools before her retirement passed away on Saturday at the age of 91 after a prolonged illness.
Her remains are lying at the residence of Opposition Leader's at R.H.Gunawardene Mawatha, Badulla.
