The Yala National Park has recorded its highest daily income on December 27 and this was the highest income of the Park since its declaration on February 25, 1938, the Wildlife Conservation Department revealed.
According to the Department, about 3,000 visitors had visited the park on December 27 and there had been about 1,400 foreigners and 1,567 locals among the visitors.
The weekend and the school vacation might have led to the unprecedented number of visitors, the Department added.
