    2015 Deyata Kirula from Feb.04 to 10 in Kamburugamuwa Featured

    The '2015 Deyata Kirula' National Exhibition will be held from February 04 to 10 in Kamburugamuwa, Matara. Parallel to the 2015 Deyata Kirula national development program steps are taken to enhance the righteous values of people's lives by providing religious and Infrastructure facilities through a programme consisting various broad strategies covering Galle, Hambanthota and Ratnapura Districts with Matara District as the Center at a cost of 127 Mn.

    The District Secretary has proposed the development of the following Buddhist temples as identified by the Hambanthota District Coordinating Committee. Tissamaharama Rajamaha Viharaya, Sithulpawwa Raja Maha Viharaya , Meegahajadura Purana Viharaya and Tissamaharama Sandagiri Raja Maha Viharaya also contribute tremendously towards the Dhamma education as well as enhancing righteous values and they are national religious centres which attracts the local and foreign tourists and also places of worship for lakhs of devotees.

     

    Accordingly, the following projects have been undertaken as main development activities at religious places identified by the District Secretary, Hambanthota.

     

    • Tissamaharama Rajamaha Viharaya - Construction of a multipurpose building at a cost of 39 Mn
    • Sithulpawwa Raja Maha Viharaya - Construction of a multipurpose building and other development activities at a cost of 50 Mn
    • Meegahajadura Purana Viharaya - Construction of a multipurpose building and other development activities at a cost of 18 Mn
    • Tissamaharama Sandagiri Raja Maha Viharaya - Construction of a multipurpose building and other develo ment activities at a cost of 20 Mn
