S.Sivagnanam, a Member of the Kandy Municipal Council visited President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the President’s House in Kandy on Dec.10 together with several other members of the UNP and pledged their support to the President and the UPFA.
S.Sivagnanam, a Member of the Kandy Municipal Council for about 10 years has been an active member of the UNP.
He said that he was disappointed with the activities of the party and that was why he left the party to join the President in order to contribute towards the country’s development. He also brought some problems of the people to the notice of the President.
Young Parliamentarians Lohan Ratwatte, Dilum Amunugama and the Kandy Mayor Mahendra Ratwatte were also present.(NJ/KH)
