The Department of Social Services revealed.that the Ministry has submitted two lists of kidney patients to the Treasury for payments. Accordigly, a persons who had been diagnosed with preliminary stage of the disease would be paid Rs. 1,500 per month and the persons with severe stage of the Chronic Kidney Disease would be paid Rs. 3,000 per month.

It is estimated that around 50 million rupees per month will be required to pay the allowance to kidney patients.
