The national ceremony to distribute school text books for 2015 will be held at the Sanghamittha Balika Vidyalaya in Galle today (Dec.01) under the auspices of the Minister of Education Bandula Gunawardena.
The Education Ministry revealed that the President is the only leader who took a policy decision based on the Mahinda Chinthana that all schools should be transformed into popular schools and that the children should be provided better education no matter in which school they study.
