The Government has taken steps to sign a bilateral agreement between the Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates. The Treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters provides for improving the effectiveness of law enforcement of both parties in the investigation, prosecution and prevention of crime and confiscation of criminal proceeds.
