    Mahinda Chinthana policy has evaluated dedication and devotion of War Heroes - Lalith Weeratunga

    War Heroes are receiving the due respect, recognition and attention from the Government since the Government has clearly understood the great sacrifices of War Heroes, said Secretary to the President, Lalith Weeratunga.

    It is clear how the Mahinda Chinthana policy statement has evaluated the dedication and devotion of the War Heroes during the entire process of liberating the country from the clutches of the terrorists, he added. The Secretary was addressing the gathering of the handing over ceremony of houses yo war heroes..

     

    President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday (April 25) handed over 125 houses  to War Heroes built under the Api Venuwen Api project in the Kurunegala District.

     

    We Sri Lankans are now experiencing the peace dividends as we have a brave leader like President Rajapaksa. The President did not give in to any evil force," the Secretary said.

     

    We should be proud and fortunate to have a brave leader of the calibre of President Mahinda Rajapaksa who will not, be dictated to by any force, Secretary Weeratunga added.

     

    The Secretary further stated that those countries that voted against Sri Lanka in Geneva have failed to end terrorism in their countries.

     

    This was the 15th phase of the Api Venuwen Api project carried out by the Defence Ministry. And this is the second stage of houses built for War Heroes of the Tri Forces in the Kurunegala District.
