Maithripala Sirisena , Minister of Health provided high–tech equipment for dengue prevention, mosquito control and patient care for all provinces with the aim of strengthening the dengue preventive, mosquito control and patient care services.
This was done at a cost of Rs.27.5 million. That equipment consisted of 10 blood analyzers, 8 scanners and 25 spray machines for dengue mosquito control. That equipment were handed over to the Provincial Health Ministers at a function held at National Blood Transfusion Services, Narahenpita.
Secretary of Ministry of Health Sudharma Karunaratne, Additional Secretary Dr. Amal Harsha de Silva, Director General of Health Services Dr. Palitha Mahipala and Health Ministers of Provincial Councils, Provincial Health Directors and Health Ministry officials participated at this occasion. (SDF/KH)
