The National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority has been feted with the Golden Award at the International Quality Awards Festival held in Geneva, Switzerland. 178 countries competed for the Award.
The Minister of Youth Affairs and Skill DEvolpmet Dulles Alahapperuma said it is an honour for Sri Lanka to win the Gold Quality Certificate surpassing the world’s most powerful countries.
The Minister described as a most significant International Award. The UN Secretary and officials of the United Nations bestowed a notable honour to Sri Lanka. NAITA did not receive this Award by surprise.
He said he should be thankful to the Board of Directors and its officials for the uphill task and dedication which paved the way for the receipt of this International Award.
The Minister was speaking at a media conference organized to brief journalists on the Award won by Sri Lanka.
