The proposed six storey building will consist of state-of-the-art facilities and will benefit migrant workers and foreign job aspirants from Badulla, Nuwaraeliya and Moneragala districts.
The SLBFE will provide residential training facilities to migrant worker aspirants at the building in addition to other services.
Since 2010 under the Mahinda Chinthana vision for the development of the sector, the setting up of migrant resource centres at regional level started, especially with the intention of providing skills oriented training to migrant worker aspirants.
The SLBFE has seven regional centres and 25 district and other training centres. These centres provide various services to persons to go abroad for employment.
The main aim of establishing Migrant Resource Centres are to provide better training facilities to migrant workers.(ST/KH)
