The Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa revealed at a ceremony held recently to recruit 474 graduates into the teacher service in the Western Province that the present government has been successful in increasing the number of graduate teachers to 100,000 from 50,000.
He further said that the western province alone has recruited 10,500 graduate teachers.
He further pointed out that today, physical as well as human resources have undergone substantial development with the allocation of adequate funds by the President for development. (KH)
