Vehicle exporters in Japan and Thailand are planning to transship vehicles from the Hambantota Magampura Mahinda Rajapaksa International Harbour. Representatives of the Jumuweya Association of Japan and the AUCI Association of Thailand visited the Magampura Harbour in Hambantota recently. They were greeted by Project Minister Rohitha Abeygunadardena.
They observed the construction within the Harbour premises and the handling of vehicles. The Minister told the visitors that 144 thousand 851 vehicles have so far been transshipped from the Magampura Harbour. President of the Vehicle Exporters Association Indika Sampath Mirinchage mentioned that the efficiency of the harbor had already earned acclamation of foreign investors.
