    Venuja Nimsath from Embilipitiya Primary ranked first in Scholarship Exam

    The results of the 2014 Grade 5 scholarship exam have been released.  A total of 335,585 students sat for the Grade 5 Scholarship exam held on August 17.

    Out of the total who sat for the examination W.A. Venuja Nimsath from Embilipitiya Primary School has ranked first in the island with 199 marks   the Department of Examinations said.

     

    Malaka Nethmal Tillakaratne of Royal Primary School in Polonnaruwa is ranked second with 198 marks while two students are tied in third place.

     

    Below is the list of the 10 students with the highest marks:

    1.  W.A. Venuja Nimsath - (199) – Embilipitiya Primary School
    2.  H.M. Malaka Nethmal Tillakaratne - (198) Royal Primary School, Polonnaruwa
    3.  G. Sahani Yasodara Gunasekara - (197) – Pitiyegedara Primary School, Bemmulla
    3.  Niswar Fathima Sahma – (197) – Zahira Central College, Mawanella
    4.  N.V. Adeesha Aloka – (196) – Aluthwewa Primary School, Angunakolapelessa
    4.  W.E.P. Dilini Thisara – (196) - Viharamahadevi Balika Vidyalaya, Badulla
    4.  H.N. Nisara de Silva WIjesinghe – (196) – Kulupana Primary School, Pokunuwita
    4.  K.O.C. Senalya Karunanayake – (196) – Yasodara Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Gampaha
    4.  K.J.P. Ruchira Shehan Jayaweera – (196) - Wesley College, Colombo 09
