    Several Mahindodaya Technical Laboratories in Uva Province to be declared open

    Under the  government's Mahindodaya Technical Laboratories program to develop 1,000 secondary schools,  technical laboratories that were established in 15 achools, at a total cost of 270 million rupees in the districts of moneragala and Badulla  will be vested with the students on 31st August and 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th September.

    On 31st August the two mahindodaya technical laboratories in Obbegoda Madya Maha Vidyalaya and bakinigahawela Musliam Maha Vidyalaya in Moneragala District will be declared open.  Also the Mahindodaya technical laboratories in Siyambalanduwa Dombagahawela Madya Maha Vidyalaya, BadalKumbura Mediriya Madya Maha Vidyalaya, Monaragala Vipulananda Tamil College will be declared open on 1st September.

     

    In the Badulla Districts the technical laboratories in Bibilegama Madyama Maha Vidyalaya, Gonakele Tamil Maha Vidyalaya, Passara Madya Maha Vidyalaya, Lunugala Maha Vidyalaya will be vesgted with the students on 3rd September while on 4th September labs in Wellawaya Mallaththawala Mdya Maha Vidyalaya and Buttala Dutugemunu Madya Maha Vidyalaya will be opened.

     

    Also on 5th September President Mahinda Rajapaksa will declare open the Mahindodaya technological laboratories in  Sevanagala Kiriibbanwewa Madya Maha Vidyalaya, Kovularagama Maha Vidyalaya and Sevanagala Madya Maha Vidyalaya.

     

    Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, each laboratory consist of a computer laboratory with 40 computers, language laboratory equipped with 20 computers, Nenasa center for distance education, Mathematics laboratory and a Science laboratory. Minister of Education Bandula Gunawardena and many parliamentarians are expected to participate at these events.(KH)
