Applications called to recruit Tamil medium teacher assistants

Education Ministry has called for applications to fill vacancies for the Tamil medium teachers in estate sector schools. Applications have been called under the conditions outlined in the special gazette dated August 08, 201r. Closing date for the applications would be September 05, 2014.

The applications have been called consequent to a decision made by the Cabinet of Ministers on December 16, 2013 to recruit 3021 GCE Advanced Level passed candidates as Tamil medium teaching assistants.

The applicants should be less than 35 years of age and from the estate sector. They would be required to sit for a competitive examination held by the Department of Examinations and of those candidates, 3021 would be selected for the posts of teaching assistants. The applicants should be from the following 11 districts: Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Matale, Badulla, Moneragala, Kurunegala, Galle, Matara, Kalutara, Ratnapura and Kegalle.
