    Foreign military Student at DSCSC visit the North

    A group of foreign armed forces Student Officers of the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) in Sapugaskanda accompanied by their family members visited the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) on Monday (29 October). According to Army media, the Student Officers belonging to Staff Course No. 12, during the visit, made as a part of their studies received a briefing on the role and responsibilities of the SF-J and military assistance in the post-conflict scenario. The group also visited several interesting places in the peninsula.

    The same group of DSCSC Officer Students also visited the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) on Wednesday (31). Returning from Jaffna, members of the group and their families paid respect to the Hasalaka Gamini monument at Elephant Pass. At SFHQ-KLN, the foreign Student Officers were able to learn of the military's operational capabilities and its involvement and contribution to establish a proper state mechanism during a presentation on 'Recapture of Kilinochchi & Reconciliation Process'.
    The group's next stop was the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT). They received a briefing on the role and tasks of the military in the region during their visit.
