The Institute of Policy Studies of Sri Lanka (IPS) has organised an International Conference on 'Policies for Mainstreaming Migration into Development in Sri Lanka' at the IPS Auditorium on August 14 at 9.00 a.m.
Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Minister Dilan Perera will inaugurate the confab.
International migration is a cross-cutting phenomenon in Sri Lanka, where policy-makers are often grappling with the trade-off between promoting international migration and protecting the well-being of migrants and their families. (ST/KH)
