According to NTC statistics, around 1,200-1,500 buses start journeys at this private bus terminal per day and around 100,000 passengers come to this bus stand daily.

The number of raids conducted to nab these suspects will be increased on the instructions of Private Transport Minister C. B. Ratnayake, with the assistance of the Police and action also will be taken to enhance facilities including sanitary facilities at the bus terminal.

The minister further instructed officials to expand the CCTV camera system and provide walkie-talkies for the use of workers at the bus terminal and he emphasized the necessity of taking all steps to ensure the safety of passengers as it is the prime responsibility of the ministry.
