The State Minister for the Ministry of Public Services, Provincial Councils, and Local Government, Janaka Bandara Tennakoon says the current government takes its decisions on
behalf of the people and the government is working to create a self-sufficient village as the rural areas need to be developed in order to develop the country.
The State Minister stated this at the construction of a 6.5 km road from Maragolla Junction in Matale to Dambagolla.
The said road is developed under the national program to develop 100,000 kilometers of rural roads and it will benefit around six villages, he said.
The State Minister further added, the President is looking through the problems of the villagers and providing proper solutions to them.
